Season Opening Concert in Kulturzentrum La Prairie received with standing ovation
The Opening Concert given by Yilan Zhao in Kulturzentrum La Prairie was received with long standing ovation.
The first half of her program was concluded by the monstrous Ligeti Etude , which brought enthiusiastic applause from the public.
She introduced to the audience the rarely performed Mompou's Variations on a theme by Chopin. The program ended with a climactic explosion of the 2nd Sonata by Rachmaninoff.
For encore, she played the famous prelude in D-flat major by Chopin.
